Application tips in recruitment

Anyone applying should plan the procedure and prepare a strategy. It is particularly important that you become aware of what you can do, what you want and what interests you. In your application documents, present yourself as authentically as possible and at the same time as the most suitable and "attractive" employee possible. Attractive in the meaning of motivated, reliable, interested and possessing the necessary skills and know-how.

Cover letter

An application usually begins with the cover letter. It is not without reason that it is also called a letter of motivation. This is because the applicant states in the cover letter his reasons why he is applying for the position. His motivation and interest play a central role in this. Important for a valid argumentation are the precise analysis of the job advertisement and research about the company. Be sure to include this information in your cover letter.

Photograph

A good, appealing photo is essential for every application. As a rule, the application recipient first takes a look at the photograph after opening the application documents. This first impression is particularly important. How does the applicant come across? Sympathetic and nice or rather unsympathetic? Open or closed? Interested or disinterested?

Curriculum vitae

The CV is considered the heart of an application. It is also called "Curriculum Vitae" (CV) and lists the most important individual data of a person. As an applicant, you should make sure that you leave the best possible (but always truthful) impression on the recipient in your CV.

  • Application photo

  • Personal data / contact details

  • Education and Training, Courses, Certificates

  • Previous professions, professional experience or internships

  • Qualifications and knowledge: languages, computer science, driver's license, specialist knowledge, project experience, industry experience

  • possibly references, reference links

Appendixes

An important element in every application are the attachments. In most cases, these range from training and employment references to further training certificates and letters of reference. It is important that you as an applicant make a good selection and pay attention to the quality of the attachments.
